Hostyle Powerlifter vs Bodybuilder

Today I decided it was time tackle the age old debate
on powerlifting and bodybuilding being separate sports.

In this video I sit down with Pat Barnes who is a drug free
bodybuilder. Pat has been training with me for over a year,
doing heavy bench training every tuesday morning.

Watch the video.

Great post Dave, and one that is truly rneevalt. There is nothing more boring than running the same 1 mile in the same time frame every single day for the rest of your life. Aaargh, even the mention of it makes me want to jump off a building, and yet we have these people who continue to do so, every single day and brave it as if it’s not an issue for them (not true). Training with performance goals is one of the best things that one can do to keep them going in the long run, as performance can always be enhanced, unlike just a fat loss goal. Plus (atleast initially) one can make improvements every day they train like do 1 more push up, lift 2 more pounds, etc which will also make a person feel better after every workout, unlike weight loss, which will not be at the rate of 1 pound a day for long.

Have your say
