Ass Kicker Friday Workout – Form and Effort Bitches!

Everyday at Hostyle Conditioning we run many different types and levels of workouts depending the groups and individual sessions.

Here we will post just one of the workouts that we do. They will vary from Kettlebell – Powerlifting – General conditioning – Barbell conditioning.

We believe in variety and improving our mental as well as physical toughness.

Good form and effort are the bench marks for our clients success.

Ass Kicker Friday

So Today’s workout is inspired from a typical Crossfit workout.

By typical I’m referring to their mantra “For Time”. I my opinion the focus should NEVER be on the speed of the workout but more importantly on Form and effort.

Form so that you do the damned exercise well, and I mean very well – form first!

Second

Effort

Work HARD…in fact as Hard as you can, while maintaining good form.

So Today’s workout

FOR FORM

Dbl Kettlebell Sqaut Thrusters

Burpees / with full Push up

21-18-15-12-9

Finisher 1000 m Row

Cool down:
Mobility focus on hips and lower back

Side Bar:

Set standards for your self. Form is better than fast. Better is better than sloppy heavier all the time. I have more respect for 8 hard as fuck to do push ups than 30 garbage form push up type version.

50 great push ups doesn’t mean shit if you could have done 75 by busting your ass!

Maintain better standards for yourself and create a higher level of training self respect!

Log your workouts in your journals...Too much time is wasted when your screwing around trying to figure out what weight to use for your sets. If track your weights, sets and reps you can keep your intensity up and driving progress in front of you.

CRUSH IT!

Always a great workout at Hostyle! Didn’t even mind that there were so many burpees! Loved the finisher of rowing at the end, must say that my legs were mush after this. Can always count on Curd to push me to my max.
